The Barrie Bassmasters are a chapter of the Ontario B.A.S.S. Federation Nation. We are a competitive sports fishing club with a strong mandate towards conservation, community, youth education and participation. If you are interested in being part of a great organization and one of the largest fishing clubs in Canada, we invite you to attend one of our meetings, meet our members, and learn more about fishing in a year than you could in a lifetime. You don't need a boat! Our tournaments are a boater/ non-boater format and we'll pair you with a different partner for each event.

The Barrie Bassmaster would like to thank the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters for the generous contribution to our conservation efforts and our Junior Bassmaster program. The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (O.F.A.H.) is the oldest and largest nonprofit, non government fish and wildlife conservation organization in Canada representing more than 100,000 members, subscribers and supporters. OFAH is the Voice of Anglers & Hunters Since 1928
This year the OBFN Hank Gibson Qualifier moves to what is arguably the best smallmouth fishery in the world, Lake Erie/ Niagara. Five local area OBF chapters collaborated to bring this incredible venue and the opportunity for twelve members to form Team Ontario 2010. The motivation to make this years team is more than just the pride and bragging rights, because next years Eastern Divisional hosted by Vermont will most likely be held on Lake Champlain, another incredible smallmouth fishery and a favorite of many OBFN members. Little Lake Clean Up For several years the Barrie Bassmasters have been involved in a clean up of Little Lake in Barrie. Loaded with waders, and other gear, the club heads out once a year to pick up abandon ice huts, garbage, and anything else that doesn't belong in the lake. xxxxxxxx Marina supplies the club with pontoon boats to get around the lake, and when they are full |
